1st Lady Kathy Barrett McCain has been a member of the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ for over 45 years and served faithfully as the Executive Secretary for more than 35 years.  Before serving The Late Bishop Westbrook as his personal secretary, she served as secretary to The Late Mother Westbrook, Sunday School teacher, assistant hospitality president and president of the Deacons’ Wives.

She served the jurisdiction as an assistant to the Jurisdictional Executive Secretary and a liaison between Bishop Westbrook and the Jurisdictional Superintendents, Pastors and Elders, a member of the Program Committee and as Bishop’s secretary for the National Judiciary Board.

Currently, she is the office manager for the local church and president of the Women’s Ministries, support staff for Bishop Leo C. Brown, Jr. and a member of the Jurisdictional Women’s Department Executive Board and continues to serve on the Jurisdictional Program Committee.

She has been happily married to Dr. Dennis McCain (Pastor) for 46 years (2016).  They have 2 children: Jennifer Study (Gregory) and Kevin (RaKisha) and 5 grandchildren, Darien, JosaLynn, Kevin, II, Ruth and Kayden.

Her passion is to foster successful marriages and families. Her hobbies are reading and jewelry making.
